We float (se/No)

Winner of “Årets grupp” (group of the year) at P2 Jazzkatten 2018, We Float brings the listener on a journey of dramatically changing landscapes. What may seem peaceful and quiet can suddenly blow up to a heavy storm. We Float is a journey between acoustic and electronic, between hope and despair, between pop and jazz. The Norwegian bass player Anne Marte Eggen writes music that is free from restrictions and predetermined rules.

Åkervinda (se/dk)

Nominated for Grammis 2019, “Folk music of the year”!

The group’s name, Åkervinda, is inspired by a Swedish wildflower whose roots spread far and wide like rivers under the ground. Like the flower, gracefully entwining melodies, rock solid groove, and ever intriguing harmonies will take root in your mind. Like the flower, they will be impossible to remove. Jazz singers at heart, the young women of Åkervinda share a deep love of folk music. Through improvisation they give new life to traditional folk songs and stories of women throughout the ages.

Ava dares to ask the big questions and is looking for the answers. Is there any sense in existing? Is it all just in our imagination? The inspiration from the nature in northern Sweden and the rumble of the city makes the music flow like a river; softly undulating with roots in jazz and improvised music. With Swedish lyrics the group shape their very unique sound; naked, intimate and melodic. All music is written by Nils Andersson, guitarist and composer originally from Vindeln in the north of Sweden.
